S&P 500 Index edges higher, Florida reports 8,892 new coronavirus cases

Florida's Department of Health announced on Monday that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the state increased by 8,891 to a total of 432,747, as reported by Reuters.

Further details of the daily update revealed that COVID-19-related deaths rose by 99 to 6,049 and the hospitalizations increased by 218 to 9,098.
