GBP futures: open interest ticked higher on Tuesday

In view of CME Group, Tuesday’s preliminary figures of GBP futures showed traders significantly added contracts to Monday’s open interest positions following yesterday’s sharp bounce off Cable. Recall that GBP/USD climbed from the 1.2630 region to today’s boundaries of 1.2800 the figure post-UK jobs.

Open interest resumed the up trend

CME Group showed open interest dropped from Friday’s 252,361 contracts to Monday’s 252,392 contracts, a marginal raise. However, open interest rose by more than 17K contracts on Tuesday, in line with the recent price action around the Sterling and giving some fresh oxygen to Cable’s up tick.
