German ZEW economic sentiment disappoints in Sept

The German business morale failed to show further improvement and remained unchanged for September, following August’s rebound, a ZEW survey showed on Tuesday.

The headline ZEW economic sentiment stood at 0.5 in September, same as that seen in August, coming in below markets’ expectations of a 2.5 reading.

The current situations sub-indicator dropped to 55.1 points in Sept, down from August’s 57.6 and missed forecasts of a dip to 56.0 points.
