AUD/USD extends gain to 3-week highs

AUD/USD pushed higher and printed a fresh 3-week peak, as commodity currencies remain among the best performers, supported by higher oil prices and mixed Chinese data.

AUD/USD broke above Friday’s highs and reached a high of 0.7671, last seen July 15. However, the Aussie lost momentum and pulled back slightly to currently trade around 0.7655, recording a 0.38% gain on the day.

AUD/USD levels to watch

In terms of technical levels, next resistances could be found at 0.7675 (Jul 15 high),0.7700 (psychological level) and 0.7719 (May 3 high). On the other hand, supports are seen at 0.7596 (Aug 8 low), 0.7567 (Aug 3 low) and 0.7570 (10-day SMA).
