USD/JPY little changed after US data

USD/JPY remained little changed at the 102.50 area following the latest string of mixed US data, which showed manufacturing sector expanded in June but construction spending dropped further in May.

USD/JPY barely moved and continues to trade just above the 100-hour SMA, currently at 102.60, where it is 0.56% below its opening price as the greenback retains a soft tone ahead of teh weekend.

The ISM manufacturing index climbed to 53.2 in June from 51.3 the previous month, and above the 51.5 expected by analysts. Meanwhile, construction spending index fell to -0.8 versus an increase of 0.6% expected.

USD/JPY levels to watch

As for technical levels, immediate resistances are seen at 103.48 (10-day SMA), 104.00 (psychological level) and 104.87 (20-day SMA). On the other hand, supports could be faced at 102.35 (Jun 30 low) and 102.16 (Jun 29 low).
