German services PMI revised lower
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The final seasonally adjusted Markit Germany Services Business Activity Index dipped slightly from August’s five-month high of 54.9 to 54.1 in September.
However, the headline figure was revised lower from the flash estimate of 54.3. Business activity growth slowed, but new orders rose at the strongest rate in a year. Input prices continued to rise in September, largely a result of higher staff costs. The rate of charge inflation was the highest in over three years.
The final Markit Germany Composite Output Index fell from August’s 55.0 to 54.1 in September.
