US: Initial Jobless Claims rose to 309K
FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) -According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits rose by 15K last week to a seasonally adjusted 309K in the week ended September 13, improving expectations at 330K and coming from 294K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 28K to a seasonally adjusted 2.787 million in the week ended September 6 vs. 2.815 million in the previous week (revised).
