Australia's jobs to show just about holding up - Capital Economics
FXStreet (Bali) - Paul Dales, Chief Economist Australia/New Zealand at Capital Economics, notes that Australia’s March labour data next Thursday will probably show that jobs growth is just about holding up.
Key Quotes
"Australia’s March labour market data (Thursday) will probably show that jobs growth is just about holding up. The survey evidence is consistent with another rise in employment of about 15,000."
"If the size of the labour force rebounds after the small decline in February, then that might be enough to prevent the unemployment rate from increasing from 6.3%. Meanwhile, we expect the Westpac consumer confidence index (Wednesday) to have edged lower in April."
