USD/CAD at highs since May 2009

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The USD/CAD began on Friday its fifth consecutive positive month as the pair climbed over 100 pips from 1.1650 to operate as high as 1.1760.

Currently, USD/CAD is trading at 1.1756, up 1.19% on the day, having posted a daily high at 1.1764 and low at 1.1598. The hourly FXStreet OB/OS Index is showing extremely overbought conditions, alongside the FXStreet Trend Index which is slightly bullish.

USD/CAD Sentiment

USD/CAD pair started 2015 with a bullish momentum, extending the rally that began six months ago in July 2014.

If the pair consolidates gains above 1.1750, it will find resistances at 1.1760 and 1.1800. To the downside, supports are at 1.1700, 1.1660 and 1.1650.

GBP/JPY loses 200 pips

The pound dropped sharply across the board in Friday and against the yen lost almost 1%.
