USD/CHF hits a new 2-year High

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The US dollar rallied against the Swiss franc to reach a fresh two-year high today, continuing its upward trajectory as the US dollar hits multi-year highs.

Currently, the USD/CHF pair trades 0.19% higher on the day, close to a fresh two year high of 0.9920 levels, hit few minutes ago. The US dollar jumped against the Swissie after the greenback gained strength on renewed Euro zone worries over Greece. The dollar index, which measures the strength of the greenback against basket of six major currencies, advanced to reach a fresh five year peak at 90.66 levels today.

USD/CHF Levels to consider

To the upside, the next resistance is located at 0.9920 (Today’s high) levels and above which it could extend gains to 0.9950 (Aug 2012 High) levels. To the downside immediate support might be located at 0.9884 (5-DMA) levels and below that at 0.9868 (10-DMA) levels.

PBoC to ease loan-to-deposit rules – Nomura

The Nomura Team notes that the PBoC will ease loan-to-deposit rules from the beginning of 2015, further anticipating this move as supportive for further easing by the PBoC.
