US stocks rallied at the session's end to close mixed on Friday

FXStreet (San Francisco) - Wall Street accelerated in the last hour of trading to mark a mixed closing on Friday with the Dow performing another record close. The major indexes ended the week positive.

Investors digested a good employment report in the United States; however the market players took profits before the weekend.

The Dow Jones advanced 19.46 points or 0.11% to finish at 17,573.93; the DJIA posted 1.04% weekly gains. The S&P 500 added 0.71 points or 0.03% on Friday before closing at 2,031.92; +0.69% weekly gains.

The Nasdaq lost 5.94 pts or 0.13% to finish at 4,632.53. The Composite was 0.04% positive on the week.

AUD/JPY needs to prove up against the bears

AUD/JPY is trading at 98.94 having posted a daily high at 99.32 and low at 98.49.
